Today, we announced the addition of a Chief Operating Officer role to support the growing scale and diversification of our company.

Juan Andres will return to Moderna as Chief Operating Officer, effective October 5, 2026. In this role, he will help drive focus, prioritization and execution across the Company while leading our manufacturing organization. Juan previously spent nearly six years at Moderna, serving in several leadership roles before retiring from the Company in 2023.

Jerh Collins, Ph.D., Chief Technical Operations and Quality Officer, has decided to retire from Moderna. Since joining in 2022, Jerh has helped evolve our manufacturing footprint for an endemic vaccine market, advance our capabilities in the UK, Canada and Australia, and establish the manufacturing model to support intismeran autogene, our investigational individualized neoantigen therapy.

We’re pleased to welcome Juan back to Moderna and grateful to Jerh for his leadership and contributions.
