CDC-trained disease detectives and laboratory professionals are responding to the #Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Working alongside response partners, they are strengthening disease tracking, laboratory testing, infection prevention, and contact tracing to identify cases, break chains of transmission, and reduce spread.
CDC has trained 25,000+ disease detectives across 90+ countries and 12,000+ laboratory professionals across 40+ countries. Building this expertise helps countries detect threats earlier, respond faster, and stop diseases before they spread—strengthening #globalhealthsecurity and helping protect Americans.
